Apple moves a million iPads, slowly
Steve Jobs is crowing again, this time about the sales of the new Apple iPad, which hit the million mark in less than a month; a snail's pace compared to the iPhone 3GS.

Apple just announced that it sold its one millionth iPad on Friday, April 30, just 28 days after its introduction on April 3, adding that iPad users have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store and over 1.5 million ebooks from the new iBookstore.

"One million iPads in 28 days", mused Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO and conjurer of magic. "That's less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone."

But in comparing sales of Apple's original paradigm-shifting smartphone, Jobs neglected to mention that the third iteration iPhone, the iPhone 3GS, actually moved one million units in just 3 days back in June, 2009, so iPad sales could be consider "slow" by comparison.
