Two of the Internet's biggest time-wasters are now available as a combo-meal-deal with the launch of Tweetcraft, which industry watchers may soon start referring to as "the day Warcrack jumped the shark."

A handful of independent coders have just released TweetCraft, an in-game Twitter client for World of Warcraft. The add-on script allows players of the planet's most popular massively-multiplayer online (MMO) game, World of Warcraft, to access to the planet's most popular social networking contrivance, Twitter, in-game without ever leaving their beloved world of Azeroth.

With Tweetcraft, players can send or receive tweets while playing; upload in-game screenshots to their Twitter feed; even set the client to auto-tweet every time they log in or get a new in-game achievement.

The combination of the hugely successful online game and the strangely addictive social network holds the promise of a compelling social experience for users, but will more likely find use as a tool to help pass the time during in-game lulls.

Tweetcraft is free add-on that can be downloaded at tweetcraft.codeplex.com.
