Oblivion's Knights who say 'Nine' on November 21
If you're an Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion buff, you probably can't get enough of it. Knowing that, publisher Bethesda Softworks just announced plans to make its new Knights of the Nine content for the Xbox 360 version of the game available via download on Xbox Live Marketplace as of November 21st. Owners of the Windows PC version of the top-rated, best-selling Oblivion will also be able to get Knights of the Nine via download at
www.OblivionDownloads.com or as a boxed Windows PC expansion pack at retail outlets. The forthcoming PlayStation3 version of the game, meanwhile, which reportedly launches day and date with Sony's new PS3 console, will already include the additional Knights of the Nine content.
If you're not an Oblivion buff, here's the lowdown: Oblivion is a wicked-cool combination of free-form gameplay, unprecedented graphics and cutting edge AI. Its characters are voiced by powerhouse performers such as Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter (yes, that be WonderWoman in another life), all accompanied by an award-winning soundtrack. Players can choose to unravel Oblivion's epic narrative at their own pace or explore the vast world in search of their own unique challenges.
Knights of the Nine adds more of that to all that. Specifically, Knights of the Nine features an all-new faction and quests for noble characters and answers many of the questions surrounding the Ayleid ruins found throughout Oblivion. Players can join a new faction and found their own order of holy knights – leading them into battle against a sorcerer-king and his demonic minions while exploring massive dungeons and searching for legendary relics – the holy armor and weapons of the Divine Crusader.
In other words, more to what is already "lots and lots," which is more than enough reason to be an Oblivion buff.
