"Survivor" creator Mark Burnett and AOL just announced a new Glog called Gold Rush, touted as a new "interactive, online game experience."

Similar to Blogs (web logs), Glogs are internet-based game logs where individual, self-appointed experts provide op/ed commentary on known contests, usually of the Reality TV variety.

Gold Rush, the new Burnett/AOL venture, however, promises to be different. First, it's open to everyone rather than just a few select contestants, otherwise known as gluttons-for-embarrassment.

Too, the challenges are based on pop culture knowledge with clues embedded in AOL properties, CBS programming and popular magazines. Up for grabs: millions of dollars in gold, reportedly "hidden in plain sight."
