EA just released a free demo for the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. Though the game isn't slated to hit store shelves on April 12th, a wee teaser in the form of an online multiplayer demo is available now through from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Users must sign in to get the "Bridge Too Far" level, the one where noobs crash helicopters into the cranes and skyscrapers that snipers like to camp while picking off guys trying to jump a Hummer over the river before Joe Artillery lays waste to them all. Sry tk.

April 12 will mark next-generation debut of the critically-acclaimed Battlefield franchise, which, according to EA, was "completely rebuilt" for the Xbox 360 and includes new maps as well as all-new vehicles such as snowmobiles and every Soccer Mom's personal fantasy car, the mini-gun equipped van.
