If you're heading to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year, be sure to check out the 2006 Into the Pixel exhibit.
Found in the Concourse Foyer of the L.A. Convention Center, the 2006 Into The Pixel collection will include 16 pieces of videogame art showcasing multimedia artisans from the US, UK, Japan, Poland, Germany, France and Canada and feature a range of genres, including single-figure character art, landscapes and fantasy – as well as art that is influenced by traditional Japanese art, panoramic paintings, line art and "woodblock." As prints, the works are framed and hung in the Into The Pixel Gallery, itself a traveling road show of sorts that has also made appearances at the Tech Museum in San Jose, the Academy’s D.I.C.E. Summit Conference in Las Vegas, and a private showing in Los Angeles.
In October, the Into The Pixel exhibit will make its European debut at GameCity in Nottingham, England. More info and an online peek at collection at
