Arena Football
Like Alexander the Great didn't, EA Sports seems to have surveyed all that they've conquered (and licensed) and gone, "oh wait, we forgot something." That being the Arena Football League, aka the AFL, aka Ironman football, aka eight on eight in fifty yards. Alas how the mighty have fallen as Arena Football is not much more than derivative gridiron schlock.
Harder hitting, fenced in and briskly paced because of it, sure, but really just retro-grade football with the dial set on "cookie cutter" and then iced with blotchy text, clunky menus, limited play options and the peculiar rule book of the AFL.
You might assume that the graciously low price stems from the absence of expensive input from established commentators, Nike-class player endorsements or large, old, former coaches on the cover - a fair assumption and a good reason to even bother considering this one for a cheap buy - but it certainly appears that game design of this caliber just doesn't cost much to begin with, so the savings are passed on to you.
